Color Studies
This series of abstract geometric color study prints evolved from our own internal studio experiments with hue, tone and value. We liked them so much we developed this series of modular prints that use reduced geometric shapes and fields of color-blocking.
These new sets are based on the theories and techniques developed by Josef Albers and his student Dick Nelson with particular interest in ‘halations,’ an optical effect that creates soft gradients between each shape. They look amazing arranged in grid formations or in vertical and horizontal display.
